Interview with Andy Lin, Managing Director, iTaz Pte Ltd

At eve & ai, we believe employee wellbeing is not just a benefit — it’s a business strategy. In this edition of our client spotlight series, we speak with Andy Lin, Managing Director of iTaz Pte Ltd, a leading system integration services provider in Singapore. He shares why investing in people-first practices has helped them foster a more resilient and collaborative team culture in a fast-evolving tech landscape.

1. Tell us about your company and the kind of work you do.

Andy Lin:

iTaz Pte Ltd
is a system integration company based in Singapore, and we specialise in delivering tailored IT solutions — from infrastructure deployment to smart systems integration. We support clients across government, education, and private sectors, ensuring their digital environments run efficiently and securely. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that the best technology solutions begin with people.

2. Why is employee wellbeing important to your industry — and to your team in particular?

Andy Lin:

In tech, stress and long hours can become the norm, especially during major deployments or critical incident response. We’ve seen how unmanaged stress can lead to burnout or disengagement, which eventually impacts the quality of service we provide. Supporting our employees’ mental and emotional wellbeing isn’t just the right thing to do — it’s crucial for performance and long-term sustainability.

3. What challenges have you faced in supporting employee wellbeing, especially in a fast-paced or technical environment?

Andy Lin:

One of the biggest challenges is accessibility. Traditional support services tend to be reactive, and sometimes people don’t feel comfortable opening up to HR or management. Another challenge is time — our team often works in the field or on tight deadlines, so wellbeing solutions need to be quick, private, and easy to use. That’s where eve & ai really stood out.

4. You chose eve & ai over a traditional EAP. What influenced your decision?

Andy Lin:

A traditional EAP didn’t quite suit our needs — they often felt too formal, too slow, and didn’t really speak to the everyday challenges of our team. With eve & ai, we loved that it offered both human therapist chat and AI-based support. The ability to self-check, reflect, and get instant guidance — in a language that suits you — was a big win for us.

5. What features or elements of eve & ai have stood out for your team so far?

Andy Lin:

The Run My Day feature has been a surprise hit — our project teams appreciate being able to set wellbeing-focused goals alongside work tasks. The Flip-to-Win reward system also added a fun, gamified layer that actually nudged people to engage with the platform regularly. We also appreciate the cultural and language inclusivity — it’s been especially meaningful for our diverse team.

6. How have your employees responded to the platform?

Andy Lin:

We’ve had very positive feedback. Some staff started using the AI chat regularly just to process their day, and others have booked sessions with human therapists, which they hadn’t considered before. What we’ve noticed is that it’s created a softer culture — where it’s okay to not be okay. That’s a big shift.

7. How do you see tools like eve & ai helping companies move beyond just compliance — toward real culture change?

Andy Lin:

It’s the difference between a tick-box and a real shift in how people feel at work. eve & ai makes wellbeing part of the daily workflow, not just something you reach for when things break down. That consistent, bite-sized approach makes it easier for culture change to happen naturally — from the ground up.

8. In your view, what’s the business upside of investing in employee wellbeing?

Andy Lin:

You retain people longer. You reduce downtime from stress-related absences. You build a brand that people want to work for. And honestly, you see better collaboration and morale. In our industry, where teamwork and responsiveness matter a lot, these benefits directly impact client satisfaction.

9. What does an inclusive and psychologically safe workplace mean to your company — and how does wellbeing support that?

Andy Lin:

For us, it means everyone feels respected, seen, and heard — regardless of role, background, or mental state. Wellbeing isn’t just for people in crisis. With eve & ai, we’ve created a more proactive environment where everyone, from engineers to admin staff, has access to the same support tools, in a way that suits them.

10. What advice would you give to other companies exploring wellbeing solutions or rethinking how they support their teams?

Andy Lin:

Start small, but start intentionally. Don’t wait for a crisis or high turnover to prompt action. The earlier you normalise these tools and conversations, the better. And choose partners who understand your team’s reality — eve & ai got that balance right between tech, people, and culture.

Final Thoughts from Andy Lin:

We’re proud to be part of a growing shift in the industry — one that values both performance and people. Wellbeing isn’t a trend; it’s a necessity. We’re glad to have eve & ai as part of our journey.
